John Warburton (1776-1857) was born in Lancashire and after his call by grace became a pastor at Rochdale for 5 years and then for 42 years at Zion Chapel Trowbridge in Wiltshire.
He was a friend of those great stalwarts of the truth William Gadsby and John Kershay; also J.C. Philpot whom he baptized.
