The word “Hell” occurs 11 times in the New Testament. Five of these
times it came from the lips of Jesus Christ. Our Lord was what the
religious world of today would have called “a Hell-fire preacher.” Jesus
Christ was constantly warning men about the reality of Hell-fire. It
was to Him a grim fact. No minister can follow Christ without preaching
on the subject of Hell.
